The afterbirth body

A postpartum body and her baby. Carrying a child for many months, going through a birth and mastering the art of breastfeeding creates a new body. The poster shows a woman both vulnerable and strong who gives her tiny, new baby her undivided attention. 

The colors, surfaces and details of the posters create a fluid, soft and melding portrait of a mother and a baby who become one with each other. 

The series "Motherhood" is about becoming a mother - for better or for worse. Having a child can be a huge upheaval in one's life, and a lot of emotions are often involved. In the series, we meet a woman who with love and care creates her own mother role in both happy but also difficult situations.
